Located on the bay side is it's bay beach where families bring the kids for swimming and has lifeguards during the summer months.  Fair Harbor is also known for it's sixish on the docks where people gather to watch the beautiful sunsets.

Fair Harbor consists of the Pioneer market, the Dock restaurant, Corliss on the Bay, Unfriendly's ice cream shop and a liquor store.  For your safety and health you are protect by the Fair Harbor volunteer Fire Department. Fair Harbor is known for being a "barefoot community."
